Music in the Parks ~ Springfield, MA ~ May 18, 2013

 We got a request from Connor to FaceTime as he wanted to tell us about his day at Music in the Parks in Springfield, Massachusetts and his time at Six Flags!

 We had fun hearing about his Jazz Band and Honors Band competition and also about his tattoo and HOT TIE sunglasses he bought at Six Flags.

When they returned for the awards ceremony they learned that both the Jazz Band and the Honors Band got 1st Place.  Congratulations to both bands!!!

Then they called Connor Backes for an award and of course they pronounced his name wrong. ( :  He got kinda of nervous thinking the tattoo wouldn't look good, but he did remove his HOT TIE sunglasses on his way forward.  ( :

Connor received the award for OUTSTANDING SOLOIST 2013!

We were so excited to hear the news, see the metal and hear the story first hand on FaceTime!  Thank you technology!
