Mount Vernon, WA - April 10, 2010

We started out in snowy, but beautiful Snoqualmie!

We drove to Mount Vernon to see the tulips.
We started at Roozengaarde.....a beautiful 3-acre pristine display garden with over a 1/4 million blooming bulbs and bordered by a 30-acre tulip field where you can stroll.

"Grape Hyacinth"
These chubby little bells of the deepest cobalt blue grow in full clusters and turn your spring garden into a springtime wonderland.

My Dad is spending 2 weeks with us and enjoyed the tulips!

Dad by the Rhododendrons!

A field of pink tulips with Mt. Baker in the background.

Roozengaarde is surrounded by hundreds of acres of tulips, daffodils and iris.
The fields have burst with color again during the world-renowned Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
This turned out to be the peak week end to view the tulips!!
Purple is my favorite!

Unless it is orange and yellow!
Good bye until next April!!

We drove home via Deception Pass!
We took the ferry to Mukilteo....
