Happy 65th Birthday, Jim!
Jim with my cousin, Lee Christensen from Idaho!
Lou works a the restaurant on top of the Space Needle and loves to cook! He offered to cook Jim a birthday dinner.
Can you smell the mushrooms simmering in butter, olive oil, garlic and wine? Yum! Of course we had Seattle rain to contend with but the umbrella worked fine! Jim had umbrella duty! Lou brought Jim a wine aerator and a lovely bottle of wine. The aerator allows the wine to breathe instantly without waiting time. As the wine breathes it opens up and releases its intended aromas and flavors. Awesome! Thanks Lou! Jodi, Jaki & Jason sent Jim a "Pepper Grinder" that he has always wished for. It made a BIG hit and got more attention and pictures than the birthday boy! ( : Lou said it was top of the line...and has a dual purpose...it grinds pepper and can be used as a security device! Thanks to all of you kids for the very special gift! Awesome pepper! The Flat Iron steak was scrumptious! A BIG thank you to Lou for the wonderful meal!!
